Avoid Antioxidants senile

Senility is one of the conditions are avoided in the elderly. This situation can be prevented by eating nutritious food when people are young. You would never hear the story of a senile boss is furious at everyone in his office because of lost glasses. Though the glasses were perched calmly on his forehead. On a more serious level, the disease may become senile Alzheimer's disease, namely the central nervous system diseases associated with old age. The disease is caused by damage to nerve cells in part of central and lack of production of chemicals needed to send signals (neurotransmitters).

For fluency task, these neurotransmitters utilize a number of components of certain foods, called precursors. In the Journal of the American Medical Association findings revealed no relationship between antioxidants with dementia. Proven that the antioxidants found in many foods high in vitamin E and C, in addition able to repel attacks and prevent cancer was also able to inhibit the arrival of dementia in old age. According to Marianne J. Engelbert, MD, MSc, epidemiologist from the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, vitamin E and C found in fresh fruits and vegetables are very effective against symptoms of dementia.

The results of this study have been proven on 5,000 male and female respondents aged about 55 years. The study was conducted in two stages by regulating their diet. In the first study presented, for six years at the beginning of the study, data of respondents did not show any symptoms. But in the six years later 197 people showed symptoms of both respondents, 147 other shows gelaja senile diseases. A second study, conducted in men and women aged 65 years, the results were extraordinary. The researchers found no symptoms of dementia according to the researchers, the efficacy of fresh foods that contain vitamin E and C did not lose efficacy with antioxidant supplements are sold on the free market. Instead of fresh food is more nutritious and certainly does not contain chemicals that harm the body.

Other facts found in UCLA, a world organization that engages in health in India which found that of turmeric in fact contain a number of chemicals that can reduce the occurrence of inflammation in the brain and prevent dementia. In India alone adds spice turmeric in everyday dishes are common. That's why, that almost the majority of the population free of symptoms of inflammation of the brain and senile. Also foods that contain large amounts of boron that can provide electrical effects in the brain. According to Drs. James Penland of the Human Nutrition Research Center, U.S. Dept. of Agriculture at least our brains need the mineral boron 3 mg per day to keep the brain to work properly. Great mineral can be obtained from beans, broccoli and fruits such as grapes, apples, pears and peaches.

These foods are sources of zinc (zinc). For example, in 100 grams of oyster turns out to supply the demand of zinc is 20 mg. This mineral can improve the brain's ability to store memory so that memory last longer. Another bonus, the brain becomes easier to concentrate. Protein can provide a calming effect on the brain. Be it vegetable or animal protein. Likewise, foods that contain carbohydrates. Protein may help the brain to work quickly in receiving messages.

How to optimize the Brain

The human brain is divided into two parts, the left and right brain. The right hemisphere of the brain associated with the left side of the body, and the left hemisphere with the right side. We will assume happiness recorded stronger on the right side of the face. While a sense of disgust, anger, and fear on the left side. Although the left hemisphere does not dominate the experience of positive emotions, the right hemisphere seems to be involved in recognition and signal processing of both positive and negative emotions. The right brain is also taking positive facial expressions more than we think based on left brain dominance in feeling positive emotions. Even so, the left brain actually plays a role in processing positive signals as well as experience.

The brain provides several types of experiences are indelible, direct, and without deliberate effort. He read the kind of experience is such that the conscious mind we need to opt for that trigger emotional instincts can take over. Other, less important data is stored permanently by the pass convey that experience through repeated practice rolls.

There is evidence that that's what happened in a dream. At bedtime, while the context is not busy selecting the data that came memalui various senses, he can convey the pieces of advanced experience to help them become permanent memory. Memory is a partner in developing all the other mental skills. The key to learning is the brain's ability to change the experience that there is now a password and save it for later in life, the experience can be called back.
If we are aware, the brain actually produces a chemical called acetylcholine to carry messages between cells involved in memory and strategy formulation. The existence of such a chemical neurotransmitter in the brain was increased which is often used to deal with challenges that require troubleshooting. This may be because actually some people who are older do not lose this ability as much as anyone else when they age.

The inability to remember events that had recently passed the first sign of decline in brain function that more and more severe, accompanied by the emergence of a pattern of "plaque" amyloid protein. It was then in the context along side the temporal lobe, which exist only in hippocampus. Next she spreads to other circuits, including memories of events during the already long gone. The ability to find words to describe ordinary objects began to weaken, followed by inability to recognize the people and places that are familiar or even do not know the usefulness cup of coffee. The woman who keeps her mind always active until old age are less likely to suffer from Alzheimer this. But the "initial attack" Alzheimer's disease, which usually appears in the early 50s, is a genetically inherited condition and can not be weakened or delayed by only keeping the mind stay active.

In the original book entitled Building Mental Muscle: Conditioning Exercises for the Six Intellgence Zones David Gamon and Allen D. Bragdon disclose the latest findings about the performance and brain structure. There are six zones in the brain intelligence, namely social and decision making, memory, emotion, language, math, and spatial. All zones because of this intelligence we need to help each other in our thinking activity. If one of the six zones is rarely used, surely he will experience setbacks. Therefore, the brain - like muscles - need to be trained so as not to loose and getting stronger. The games in this book are designed to stimulate the cells in the six zones of the brain, some of which might not use regularly in our personal lives or our professional lives. So, come on, exercise your brain!

Dementia due to Smoking

Smoking is common in connecting with the heart and lung disease. It turned out not only that, smoking also increases the risk of dementia or Alzheimer's disease at advanced age. Finnish researchers concluded, as presented in the Archives of Internal Medicine.

Rusanen Minna, MD and colleagues evaluated the health data about 21,000 people who participated in the survey between the years 1978 to 1985, when they were aged between 50 to 60 years. The scientists found that in 1994-2008 (when their average age 71 years), nearly 5400 participants have received a diagnosis of dementia, including 1136 with Alzheimer's disease and 416 with vascular dementia. Those who smoked more than two packs per day in middle age have a 100 percent higher risk of dementia than those who do not smoke. Former smokers or those who smoked less than half a pack a day did not appear to have an increased risk. The relationship between smoking and dementia did not vary by race or gender.

The cause of the increased risk of dementia remains unclear. Smoking is a known risk factor for stroke and encourage diseases that damage nerves. Risk of vascular dementia appeared through the same mechanism. In addition, smoking supports oxidative stress and inflammation, which is believed to be important in the development of Alzheimer's disease. "There is a possibility that smoking affects the development of dementia through the blood vessels and nerve degeneration," the researchers wrote.
